We talk about her decision to leave the comfort of an established company in Boston PT and Wellness to open up a cash-based practice, what would motivate someone to take this path, and her recent trip to Australia.

On the sixth episode of the AdaptX Performance Podcast we are joined by Beth James, the legs behind Team Liza. After suffering a traumatic brain injury that robbed Liza of mobility and some means of communication, Beth began racing with her daughter. This has taken them around the country; completing incredible feats of athleticism together. Most recently, the duo took on the Kona Ironman World Championships.

On the fifth episode of the AdaptX Performance Podcast we are joined by Dan Santos, a 26 year old with femoral hypoplasia. Dan is on the U.S. National Sled Hockey Developmental team and is a program assistant at Northeast Passage. After we got a workout in we discussed how Northeast Passage has been essential in his life and how adaptive recreation can greatly improve the lives of individuals with disabilities.

On the fourth episode of the AdaptX Performance Podcast we are joined by Joey Mullaney, a 25 year old with Freidrich’s Ataxia, a rare neurological disease that causes progressive degeneration of nerve fibers in the spinal cord and peripheral nerves. Joey has big aspirations for 2020. After we got in a workout together we discuss his efforts as an author, grad student, and establishing a non-profit.

On the third episode of the AdaptX Performance Podcast we are joined by Kim "Rooster" Rossiter, president of Ainsley's Angels of America. While deployed in Iraq, Rooster's daughter was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder. She inspired Rooster to establish a non-profit. We discuss how their organization has maintained a high standard of quality while rapidly growing to more than 70 cities around the country.
