Last Time on When Black Roses Bloom: Our intrepid heroes split the party! Well, continued the split as it were. Talandril and Ticklemop continued searching for the throne room together, and returned to the keys after unsuccessfully picking the lock. As soon as the keys were disturbed three gargoyles surprised and killed Talendril. Ticklemop returned to the party to tell them, and everyone came to his rescue, killing the gargoyles and resurrecting Talendril. Once again together, they battle a banshee and Ser’s is feared, running across a roaming Skeletal Warrior guard that kills him. The heroes find his corpse, open treasure doors and stuff him in one, then head to the throne room where they see Lord Soth sitting on his throne looking like a ghost and whispering the song that closes his domain. He is currently lost in his memory mirrors. Azrael enters the room and Corros charms him. He tells the heroes that they need to enter the mirrors and disrupt Lord Soth’s memory to get him out. He has failed doing so and fears going back in. He does give them a wand that is supposed to help with providing an illusion of Kitiara, only none of them have seen her before. This is where we pick back up as the heroes are searching for a portrait of Kitiara. With three episodes left, ill they save Sithicus and escape the Dark Powers? Let’s find out!
The nightbound realm of Sithicus is dying!
The grey forested crags scarred by jagged rifts echo with the laments of the dying elven nation. But the lord of the land sits uncaring on his blackened throne in the charred castle of Negragaard, lost in ancient memories. Through his passion and hatred the nightmare haunted death knight, Lord Soth, permitted catastrophe to befall his native world of Krynn. Now trapped in the Realm of Terror, Soth has once more brough calamity to his home. Abandoning rule of his twisted realm of Sithicus, Lord Soth has retreated to a still more distorted domain: the mad fantasies of his own history.
To save the land and themselves, the heroes must venture into banshee-haunted Nedragaard Keep, and there into the warped mindscapes of a tormented darklord. The history of the greatest villain of the DragonLance Saga is at last revealed in the Realm of Terror.
For fans of DRAGONLANCE and RAVENLOFT adventures alike. This grand adventure is suited for four to six player characters of levels 4-6. No prior knowledge of Krynn or the DRAGONLANCE Saga is necessary. You must have the RAVENLOFT boxed campaign set to use this adventure.
