Tucker leads this episode and takes us on a winding journey through traditional and spiritual medicinal Islamic practice that continues on today. We cover special blue cloths, licking signs, special incantations, the name and word of god, and blowing techniques alongside interesting anthropological information about how treating disease was directly related to battling the djinn.

Welcome to episode 10! A milestone that we don't mention or celebrate in the episode. Today, Maddie dives into the sacred stories that give certain two-spirit identities in American First Nation tribes their place in tribal society. Though there are many identities that fall under the umbrella term of "two-spirit", we focus today mainly on the Hawaiian Māhū, the Diné Nadleehi, the Cree's multiple animate identities, and the Zuni civilizations. The episode begins with a definitional segment on two-spiritedness today.
Thanks so much for being with us for 10 episodes!

Welcome back to ADD Storytelling with this episode about a global rags to riches tale, Cinderella. Tucker and Maddie find the best slipper versions to tell you about from the Algonquin tribe, China, & Vietnam. In addition, we touch on the different iterations of Cinderella across the world. Maddie goes on a little rant about why it shouldn't be the Disney Cinderella as the common default towards the end of the episode. Strap in for some fun stories & some magical fish!

Welcome to Tucker's second episode (complete with a new, special Wild West-like theme for the opening song) about headless men all over the world. These chest-faced beings are great warriors, the products of othering groups of people, and the toys of the divine. Tuk may have made it all a little more sexual than y'all were expecting every once in a while, but rest assured, you'll know all about these Jigglypuff-like men by the end!

**Disclaimer: This is an examination of the Bible as a historical literary text, with modern interpretations. If a LGBTQQIAAP2S+, pro-BIPOC, or non-traditional perspective is likely to offend, please skip this episode. We trust our listeners to know their own minds & hearts. **
Maddie, Tucker, & first podcast guest, Jordan, dive into all the weird and twisty tales the Bible has to offer. Fig trees offend the Lord. F*** actual bears. Donkeys, glories...you name it, we got it. Then, join us for part 2 of the episode where we examine people in scripture and compare them to our modern LGBTQQIAAP2S+ sensibilities. This episode is a teensy bit more romance-centered, & a little sexier, than usual-- listener discretion advised. We close with some cute proverbs & silliness.

This week Maddie & Tucker (possibly both ADD at this point) delve into the second book of Maya creation myths: Xibalba, the Mayan Underworld. This a retelling of the Hero Twins who conquered death, and the creepy citizens of the land of death. These stories come straight from the Popol Vuh, the compilation of Maya sacred text comparable to the Greek Odyssey. Maddie also has a small segment on the Mayan language and its interesting and enduring presence in the Americas.
If you'd like to purchase your own copy of the Popol Vuh, you can buy the book I mentioned liking the best in the episode here: https://www.indiebound.org/book/9781632062406

Join us this week while Maddie regales us with excellent ghost-hunting advice, their favorite hauntings in Savannah, and little ghost boys who bite people. The construction and land theft of Lake Lanier is followed up by the fascinating local mythos surrounding the very popular lake, which has a few deaths a year and a resident ghost.
*trigger warnings this episode* boating accidents and drownings in relation to Lake Lanier, mentions of human remains in relation to hauntings
