১৯৫৫ সালের  ৩রা মে, নিউইয়র্ক এর মিউজিয়াম অফ মডার্ন আর্ট প্রেক্ষাগৃহে মুক্তি পেল বিশ শতকের বাংলা তথা ভারতীয় সিনেমার এক  অন্যতম শ্রেষ্ঠ কীর্তি। হ্যাঁ, পথের পাঁচালী। তবে কলকাতার বিভিন্ন সিনেমা হলে, এটি  মুক্তি পায় 26 আগস্ট। কিন্তু কি ছিল পথের পাঁচালীর পর্দার পেছনের কাহিনী ?কীভাবেই বা সত্যজিৎ রায় খুঁজে পেলেন পর্দার ইন্দির ঠাকরুন আর অপুকে? কিভাবে পাওয়া গেল বিধানচন্দ্র রায়ের সহায়তা? পথের পাঁচালীর পর্দার পেছনের জানা-অজানা বিভিন্ন গল্প নিয়ে দূর্গা ষষ্ঠীর এই শুভঃক্ষণে আজকে আমাদের নিবেদন  "সত্য পাঁচালী"

"শুরু থেকে" একটি ছেলের ছাত্র জীবনের প্রেমের গল্প। ছেলেটি যে মেয়েটির প্রেমে পড়েছিল, তাকে প্রেম- নিবেদন করতেও পারে নি। নদীর ওপার থেকে মেয়েটি আসতো, ছেলেটি চেয়ে থাকতো নির্নিমেষ দৃষ্টিতে।

এরপর মেয়েটির বিয়ে হয়ে যায় রেলে চাকুরিজীবী একটি ছেলের সঙ্গে। প্রেমিক দীর্ঘদিন পর গ্রামে ফিরে সেই নদীর পাড়ে দাঁড়িয়ে ফ্ল্যাশব্যাকে জীবনের ফেলে আসা সেই দিনের কথা ভাবে। আজ সে পরিণত। কিন্তু প্রথম প্রেমের না বলা বেদনা তার চির সঙ্গী, যা শুরু থেকে তার মনকে ভারাক্রান্ত করেছে। এ যেন এক ঐশ্বরিক প্রেম যা একপেশে হলেও চিরন্তন।

' নীচু বারান্দা '.... প্রান্তিক জনগোষ্ঠীর 'ট্রেন্ডের' একটি জলছবি। উত্তরবঙ্গের রাজবংশী সম্প্রদায়কে মাথায় রেখে আঁকা এই ছবিতে চোখের রঙিন চশমাটা খুললে যেটা পরিস্কার ভাবে দেখা যাবে,যেটা পরিস্কার ভাবে মগজে আঁকা যাবে ,সেটা হলো ' বিচারের খিদে ' । মাস্কের ভেতরে শুকিয়ে যাওয়া ঠোঁট, লকডাউনের অন্ধকারে জামার ভেতরের কঙ্কালসার পেটটা চোখে না পড়লেও ডালগোনা কফির ধোঁয়ায় আচ্ছন্ন এই শহরের ঝাপসানো চোখ উত্তর দেয় সব কিছুর।

সত্যিই কি আমরা ভালো আছি? আমাদের দেশটা কি ভালো আছে? আমরা কি সত্যিই মোকাবেলা করতে পারলাম?

Every year millions of Indian students appear for the entrance examination for the premier institutions of the nation like IIT. But only a few of them survives an opportunity to clear one of the toughest hurdles like JEE Advanced. But it doesn't imply the students who couldn't crack the exam are significantly incompetent in their lives. We believe Education doesn't necessarily depend upon the institution but upon the motivation of the individual student. 

In a country like India, where Education is considered as a part of a business, listen to a story based on true events of such an Indian student whose voice echoes the millions of misfortunate students across the nation.

In Today's Episode of Adda Te Atkhana, we are starting off with a masterpiece by Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore, Ek Raatri.  The short story was written in 1892 (1299 Bengali Sambat) and was first published in the Sadhona Magazine. The story was later translated into many different languages including English as The Single Night, The Supreme Night, One Night by various prominent translators. The short story was later included into Golpoguchcho.
