Hosea 9 warns Israel the day of punishment will come. Why?

Today, we begin the second half of the Book of Hosea with chapter 8. Can we push God too far?

In Hosea 7, we'll read about more indictments and accusations against Israel. I do not know if your walk with Jesus has been consistent or up and down and all around. God loves you and wants you back. Will you come back to Jesus?

Hosea 6 is an appeal to come back to the Lord, the constant, overriding theme of Hosea. Do you need to come back to the Lord? Is there a way to stay more consistent in your walk with Jesus?

In Hosea 5, God shares reasons why He withdraws from Israel. Sometimes, do you wonder if God hears your prayers? Sometimes, do you wonder why God seems far away?

Hosea 4 is “Hear the word of the Lord” (v. 1) as He levels accusations against Israel. Do a few of those accusations apply to you and I today?

Hosea 3 is a beautiful story of Hosea buying back and restoring his wife Gomer. It is picturesque of God’s redemption of His people Israel, and us. Have you been unfaithful? Do you need redemption?

Hosea 2 describes a life of whoredom by Hosea’s wife, Gomer. It is an illustration of whoredom by Israel toward God. Have you committed whoredom toward God, or have you always remained faithful to Him?

The Book of Hosea is a touching story of how Hosea marries a wife he knows will be unfaithful, to demonstrate the same relationship God has with unfaithful Israel.

Today, we conclude the Book of Daniel, with chapter 12. What a beautiful ending to the Book of Daniel. We may not ever understand the end of days, but we do understand it will happen. When it does, you will have an allotted place. Will it be in heaven or hell? Do you know for sure?
