A transitional phase for The Nine Stripes with Mauro Eustáquio having stepped up as interim Head Coach following the departure of Martin Nash. 

But, Eustáquio oversaw a superb first victory on home soil as York United FC made it three straight wins at York Lions Stadium. The 2-1 result against HFX Wanderers came after an excellent first half, with Austin Ricci conjuring a spectacular opening goal before Dennis Salanovic doubled the lead.
