In case you were wondering - yes, it is extremely intimidating to stand next to those abs and no, you won’t find more genuine, humble or toned content creators than this pair.
I had the pleasure of meeting Caity and Rob at Expo West and have been working with them for over a year. They have been nothing but generous, sincere and relentless in their mission to add value to the brands they work with and the community they serve. No shocker here - they have a lot to show for it.
As fitness professionals they use Instagram as a way to motivate and inspire, as well as attract new potential clients for their online coaching business. In episode 15 of #AddedValuePodcast they’ll share how they’ve adapted to IG trends, how to connect with your community in a way that translates to actually impacting lives, how working together has made their individual brands stronger, what it’s like to transition content on Instagram to be more purpose-driven and MUCH more.
Another really huge takeaway you’ll find in this episode is that it’s okay to adjust your focus. It can be difficult when you gain a following having a certain message and vibe, but want to transition to something else that is more meaningful and reflective of you. It was super interesting to hear Caity’s transition from modeling to fitness and how she has gotten more fulfillment and success in her business because of it.
I have gotten a few messages about how to build a personal brand on instagram, so I am excited to share this episode with you because that is a common theme throughout this conversation. Both Caity and Rob confirmed that their Instagram presence has 100% impacted their business, so they are a great example of converting followers to clients!
Enjoy!

Although her first cooking experiment was a complete disaster, passion persevered for Erica of @bowlobsessed. With time and some help from Martha Stewart Magazine, Erica taught herself the do's and don'ts of the kitchen and has generously shared that knowledge with the world through her Instagram account. Erica has grown through serving her audience with easy, simple recipes and how-to videos that make cooking feel more accessible to the busy modern woman. In this episode we talk about how she fell in love with cooking, the amazing opportunity that pushed her out of her comfort zone, the most rewarding part of starting her Instagram, the importance of sharing your vulnerabilities and NOT playing the comparison game. Listen and learn how to be an invaluable brand partner and climb to that 10K goal in less than a year!

When Amelia first moved to Nashville from Tampa, FL she barely knew a soul. She was on the search for a way to connect with other female professionals and entrepreneurs and when she couldn’t find one, she created one. Since launching the Nash Gals Network in early 2018, Amelia has also started her own consulting and creative agency, Love It Loud Co. As a content creator her philosophy on working with brands consists of genuine relationships, value and transparency. As a freelancer and content creator running multiple businesses and social media accounts she proves that you don’t have to have all of the answers - you just have to believe in yourself. But its not all festivals, photoshoots and fun events like you see on social media. Its using every inch of her google calendar to maximize every minute of the day - even if that means scheduling in her showers. Not only is she one of the hardest working people I know, she is incredibly humble. She’s constantly thinking about what more she can do for others, especially when it comes to empowering women. As both a content creator and business woman, she has experience working with brands and as one.
Amelia has tons of knowledge and experience in branding, social media content, public relations and most importantly - has an incredibly authentic intention of bringing people together and helping them excel in their career. I feel so lucky to know her and am very excited for you to hear about her amazing journey.
You can find her on instagram at @ameilaweisss and @thenashgals. Go to thegals.network and check out the event schedule to meet incredible and inspiring individuals in the Nashville community. If you want to collab with Amelia on something creative, hit her up at 5thfactory.

Calling all dog lovers, weird nerds and fashionistas. I’ve been excited about releasing this episode for over a month and I don’t think it’ll take long for you to understand why. Carson Love is a personal stylist, pet lover and content creator located in Nashville, TN. Some themes we cover are how to create a brand on instagram that’s both personal and professional, how incredible and interconnected the blogger community is in Nashville, how she has gotten to collaborate with some of her favorite brands on Instagram and packing for travel tips. We also discuss how to cohesively integrate trends into your personal style, the process she takes her clients through when auditing their closets, her recommendations for where to look to stay on top of the latest trends, how fostering dogs has positively impacted her life and so much more. You definitely want to listen to the very end to hear who her dream clients are and why she feels personally victimized by Amy Schumer.

I thought it was only appropriate for my tenth episode to go back to the beginning and hit you with a solo episode! I haven’t released one in a while but there’s so much to catch up on in the influencer and social media space that I've been wanting to discuss with you all - like this hot topic: what if you could no longer see the number if likes a post gets on instagram?
Maybe I should frame it this way - what if you never got that rush of dopamine after an intense workout? Would it still feel worth it? Would it keep you coming back time and time again early in the morning when you really didn't want to but knew that amazing feeling was waiting for you on the other side? Would you still show up?
At the Facebook F8 Developers Conference on April 30th and May 1st of 2019, Instagram announced it would begin testing a feature that would hide the number of likes a photo or video gets from everyone but the creator. Instagram chief Adam Mosseri announced “We want your followers to focus on what you share, not how many likes your posts get.”
In this episode I discuss the good, bad and the ugly of this potential update. I talk about a few main points from both sides of the argument and offer solutions for how content creators can bypass the harmful affects this change could place on the Influencer Marketing industry.
Right now the feature is only being tested with users in Canada, and it’s still unclear whether or not Instagram will actually move forward with the update.
What's your take? Should Instagram move forward with this update? Comment and let me know!

On this rouge episode I saw an opportunity when my best friend since 6th grade came by to tell me all about her recent experience at a silent 7-day meditation retreat. Not only is she the smartest, most generous and impressive human I know, she has taught me so much about what's truly important. We chat about what it’s like being a social justice advocate, agnostic future meditation instructor who grew up wanting to me a nun and a 2 Enneagram personality type. This episode reinforces that influence is NOT measured by Instagram follower count - but by fearlessly living your purpose and unique truth. Keila is the Field Director at the Tennessee justice center - one of the nation’s leading non-profit legal advocacy firms focused on helping TennCare enrollees access the health services to which they are entitled. She leads TJC’s Advocacy Team, whose mission is to protect and expand Medicaid and to work toward universal health coverage.
