Police State vs Welfare State

We've had a welfare state since the New Deal and it's created the middle class as we known it. Trump's Big Bogus Bill is one of the largest swings of the pendulum back the other way, and it comes after decades of chipping away at the welfare state. And with ICE's unfathomable funding increase following their recent mass raid techniques, the Trump government is poised to fully embrace the Police State.
