Narrated by Tom Both, Commander of the American Legion Post 1312 and veteran of the Korean War, the stories collected in this episodes are the memories of and about the soldiers who have come from the Town of Keene. 

The stories told here reflect the hardship of training and the tragedy of war, but also show the resilience of those in our armed forces, the strange and amazing coincidences which can occur, and most importantly, the humanity of people in uniform.

This Spring, 11th graders at Keene Central School told brief stories about life in and around the Town of Keene. The selected stories take place across the world and have centralizing themes of travel, family, animals, and misadventure. A special note about this podcast is that many of these students recorded stories when they were 8th graders back in 2021. They were the first students to record what is now the annual 8th grade story podcast.

Music and nature are strongly connected. Just as the view from a mountain summit or the crunch of fallen leaves can evoke joy or a sense of nostalgia, so too does the echo of a bow across strings or the harmony of a chorus of voices.
