Welcome Back Y'all! Welcome to Adjacent!

We are here with heavy hearts for our fellow Texans who are working through the devastation of most recent Floods in Central Texas.

Here are some ways that you can help in the efforts to help the victims in Central Texas::

If you want to volunteer- call the Salvation Army by phone (830)465-4797.

Monetary Donations through Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country Website: www. communityfoundation.net

Here is the cookie recipes if you want to make something to sell and raise money.

Tweety Cookies (aka Cowboy Cookies) for Camp Mystic:

• Ingredients:
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cup sugar (optional)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 cups Quaker Oats (old fashioned)
  • 6 oz package semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
• Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Cream butter and sugars together.
  3. Add eggs and mix well.
  4. Add oatmeal, chocolate chips, and vanilla extract and mix until blended.
  5. Bake for 8 minutes. They will still look a little soft, but will continue to cook as they cool.

Regarding "Mystic Camp":

While the query might be specifically about Tweety Cookies at Camp Mystic, there are other camp activities and food ideas that could be considered for a "mystic camp" theme.

Welcome Back Y'all! Welcome to Adjacent!

We are so excited to share a beautiful life with Sandy "Grammy" Pickering. This is Adrian's Mom, shelly's mother in law, Grammy to Colter and Hayden. Come along as she shares her life history with us. This modern woman was born in 1945. We learned so much about her life. It was impressed upon us the importance of reinventing yourself, having so many different things going on as you are progressing through life, but more importantly, it was was pressed upon us the importance of family and friends. We love her and we know you will to.
