I learned a great lesson from my 5 year old cousin regarding preparing for greatness. As her father and I were in the kitchen having coffee, she walks in the room fully dressed as if she were going to school, which was odd seeing that she stayed home from school because she was sick.

Looking confused her dad asked, Emma where are you going?” She responds, “ I’m not going anywhere but I’m going somewhere!”  Wow!!! There are so many lessons in that response. In today’s episode, I speak of two principles that little Emma Pearl taught us!

Success and happiness are all about mindsets. We can either choose to live a life of happiness or develop a mindset that primarily focuses on negativity, which results in a pessimistic attitude. We must remember, “whatever we aspire to be or accomplish, our mindset must match our aspirations.” Sure, you can have the talent, resources, and connections needed in order to accomplish your personal or professional objectives. Nevertheless, those keys to success will be null and void if we have the wrong mindset seeing that our mindset has the power to hold us back from our desired outcome.
