In all the other InDesign episodes we've drilled down on the features of InDesign CS2. In the episode we'll start putting some of what we learned to the test. We'll take my buddy Jack's flyer and give it a makeover in InDesign. Jack is admittedly a software developer and not a designer. So I've offered to give his latest flyer a little design help.

Sure there are various ways of creating panoramic images in Photoshop. In this episode I'll show you a new way that was introduced in the Photoshop CS3 Public Beta that uses a new feature called Auto Align Layers. Even if the exposure is off on the various shots, we can easily fix it with another new feature called Auto Blend Layers.

When you place an image in the same box as text, chances are you're going to want the text to wrap around the image just as you would in page layout. In this episode, I'll show you just how easy it is to not only wrap the text around, but to also give your image some extra white space around it.

With any drawing tool you would expect to be able to create lines with arrowheads. In this episode I'll not only show you how to do it in Illustrator, but I will also show you how to give your arrows a little flare by reshaping them with the Pencil Tool. That's right, I've found a great use for the tool that no one likes to use.

In this episode I will walk you through setting the most important preferences in Acrobat 8. While Acrobat has some pretty good default settings, you will definitely want to get in there and make the application more to your liking. I will also walk you through how to customize the UI by adding the tools you need and taking away the tools that you don't.

The Bridge in CS3 gets a much needed boost to productivity by allowing you to bring your images directly into a folder from your camera or card reader. In this episode I'll show you the ins and outs of how it works and why you will never want to go back to doing it the old way.

Here's another request from a viewer. She wanted to know how to apply a drop shadow to an image and yet have the shadow actually appear away from the edge of the image. Well not only did I address that in this episode, but I took it a few steps further. Check it out.

Now that you have Photoshop CS3 Public Beta in your hands we'll continue to dive into this new release and check out more of the new features. One of the hot new features that anyone who as ever needed to create a black and white photo will appreciate is the NEW Black and White feature. I'll show you the ends and outs of this and how to apply the effect non-destructively.

In this episode we'll see how to create an HTML page that can be emailed directly to your contacts. You'll see what you need to do with your graphics and your links, plus a couple of tips along the way.

This is my 100th Episode! While the topic is not earth shattering, it is with great pride that I have reached the major milestone. Also being in the top 100 "Best of 2006 - People Choice" on iTunes is a huge honor. In this episode we'll take a look at a feature in Illustrator that has been there (virtually unchanged) for years.
