The Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) leadership says its members will withdraw their service indefinitely effective September 1, 2022. In a press release on Wednesday, the Association stated reasons including failure of government to implement agreed conditions of service as reasons for their intended strike.

Violence has broken out in parts of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST. It follows clashes between residents of Unity Hall popularly known as Conti and University Hall popularly known as Katanga hall.

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Government, through the Ministry of Finance, have supported the Legal Aid Fund and the Law Reform Fund with a contribution of GH¢2.2 million, aimed at promoting the rule of law in the country.

President Akufo-Addo has appointed the Deputy Director of Communication at the Presidency, Mr. Kofi Baah Agyepong as acting Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA). Mr. Agyepong takes over from Mr. Justin Kodua Frimpong, who resigned to focus on his role as the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)

The Ghana Police Service has said two suspects including a minor have been arrested in connection with an alleged robbery and murder of a student at Fiankoma in the Ashanti region. According to the Police, the suspect Eric Annig and the minor after robbing the victim, Osei Mensah Daniel, who is a third-year student of Tweneboa Kodua Senior High School proceeded to bury him in a cocoa farm near Benebene.
