Episode Description
Who are you for yourself?
This episode is a quiet but important invitation to slow down and really sit with that question. Not who you are for your job, your family, or the roles you play for other people, but who you are when it is just you showing up for you.
I talk about how easy it is to define ourselves by titles, responsibilities, and expectations, and how rarely we pause to ask whether we are being kind and compassionate to ourselves in the process. I share personal reflections from growing up with cerebral palsy, the lifelong desire to fit in, and how that search for belonging often turns into being overly critical of ourselves.
We explore why connection to yourself matters, how accountability does not have to come at the expense of compassion, and why nobody can show up for you the way you can. This is not about isolating yourself or doing everything alone. It is about building a relationship with yourself that supports the life you want to live.
I also explain how this mindset shows up in fitness, why I stepped away from insecurity based marketing, and how focusing on the why behind your actions creates habits you actually want to maintain for the rest of your life.
If you have been feeling stretched thin, burned out, or disconnected from yourself, this episode is a reminder to soften a little, check in honestly, and start showing up for yourself with the same care you give to everyone else.
