  • Leviticus 23:33–43 | The Feast of Booths and Our Eternal Home
Why did God command Israel to live in temporary shelters each year, and what does this ancient feast teach us about our eternal home?
The Feast of Booths reminded Israel of God's faithfulness during their wilderness journey and their complete dependence upon Him. But this celebration also pointed forward to Jesus Christ, who offers living water through His Spirit and promises that one day God will dwell with His people forever.
Pastor Jason Hudson traces this feast from Leviticus through the ministry of Jesus and into Revelation, where God establishes His eternal dwelling with His people.
This world is temporary, but life with Jesus is eternal. Are we holding tightly to the things of this world, or living in joyful dependence upon the One who has promised to bring us home?

  • Leviticus 16 | How Can We Draw Near to a Holy God?
How can sinful people enter the presence of a perfectly holy God?
In Leviticus 16, God establishes the Day of Atonement, when Israel's high priest entered the Most Holy Place to make atonement for the sins of the people. Through the sacrifices, the mercy seat, and the two goats, God provided a picture of what Jesus Christ would ultimately accomplish.
Pastor Jason Hudson explores how Jesus became both our perfect sacrifice and our great High Priest, taking our sins upon Himself and removing them through His death. Unlike the sacrifices repeated year after year, Christ's sacrifice was sufficient once for all.
Because of Jesus, we can approach God with confidence, knowing our sins are forgiven and our consciences cleansed.

  • Leviticus 23:23–25 | When the Trumpet Sounds
Why did God command Israel to gather at the sound of trumpets, and what does this ancient celebration reveal about the return of Jesus?
The Feast of Trumpets called God's people to recognize His holiness and draw near to Him. From the terrifying trumpet blasts at Mount Sinai to the promised trumpet announcing Christ's return, Scripture reveals God's desire to bring His people into His presence.
Pastor Jason Hudson explores how this Old Testament feast points to Jesus Christ, whose sacrifice makes it possible for sinful people to approach a holy God without fear of condemnation. When the final trumpet sounds, those who belong to Christ will be gathered to Him forever.

  • Revelation 19:11–21 | Return of the Shepherd King of Kings
When Jesus returns as King of kings and Lord of lords, will you be found among His sheep?
Revelation 19 reveals Jesus Christ returning in victory as Faithful and True, the Word of God, and the righteous Judge of all the earth. The compassionate Shepherd who gave His life for His sheep is also the conquering King who will defeat His enemies and establish His eternal victory.
Pastor Jason Hudson explores the remarkable contrast between the salvation awaiting Christ's flock and the judgment awaiting those who reject Him. Our hope rests not in our own goodness or merit, but entirely in Jesus, who conquered sin and death through His sacrifice and resurrection.
The victory is certain. The question is whether we belong to the victorious King.

  • 1 Peter 5:1–7 | Chief Shepherd of the Shepherds
What does faithful leadership look like in the church, and who is ultimately responsible for caring for God's people?
In 1 Peter 5:1–7, Peter calls church leaders to shepherd God's flock willingly, eagerly, and humbly, following the example of Jesus, the Chief Shepherd.
Pastor Jason Hudson explores how Christ's suffering, servant leadership, and promised return shape the way we lead and serve one another. These instructions extend beyond pastors and elders, calling every believer to humility, dependence upon Jesus, and trust in His care through suffering.
The church belongs to Jesus. He is the Chief Shepherd, and our calling is to become more like Him.
