A new political party has emerged and brought about a new leader. But, is this the beginning of freedom and democracy? In America, we see the footage and assume the change is a complete rejection of what they lived under. But, the new sea change is rooted in Democratic Socialism.

Leaving Syria isn't going to lead to the outcome that both sides of the media is claiming will happen. The nuances of what's really happening with every faction involved makes it less of a binary black and white choice that progressive and conservative media are making it out to be. Also, Mattis leaving isn't a complete disaster either.
