EFootball Update: Turkish Clubs Event 🔥

Yooo today’s Thursday, and you already know what that means - eFootball update day 😎. As of 14th MB they dropped fresh data, and this week it’s all about Turkish clubs. They added a new weekly event where you can grind for coins or even pull players if you’re lucky. I couldn’t wait, so I jumped straight in with Borussia Dortmund just to test how things felt after the update.

I got matched with Ghaziabad FC and bro, they came out swinging. Their player was on SUPERSTAR level - that’s one step below LEGEND, so you know it’s serious. He scored first and I was already thinking “ah, this one might be tough”. But Dortmund don’t give up easy. I equalized with a clean shot, then pushed it to overtime and dropped the winner with perfect timing. Full time 2-1, me on top 😂. That comeback felt sweet.

For the win, the event gave me some blue SP coins. Nothing crazy, but it adds up if you keep grinding. The Turkish clubs event is actually fun - lots of matches, decent rewards, and you can build up for bigger pulls later. You’ve tried it yet? Are you farming coins or going straight for players?

Arsenal vs City - 2-0 Finished 😎

Bro after all that loading wahala, the game finally let me in against City. First half was kind of tight at first, then Saka just did his thing. Cut inside from the right, Walker was lost, then he just placed it. 1-0. I laughed small because I knew City fans would be typing nonsense in the chat already.

Second half I didn’t even slow down. Ødegaard got the ball, one-two with Havertz, then he just fired it top corner. 2-0 straight. From there City couldn’t even play their own football again. Every time they try to pass, Saliba and Gabriel would just block everything. Their midfield was running up and down for nothing.

Game ended 2-0, clean sheet. No stress, no last minute goal. Just Arsenal ball. After the network was stressing me before, this win hit different. Beat City, no goals conceded, perfect way to end Tuesday.

England World Cup Run - Group Stage Done 😂

So today was my second group game and it was Ghana. I already knew if I win this one I’m straight to knockout, no stress. Same plan as vs Croatia - Palmer upfront instead of Kane. I didn’t even bother with Kane this tournament. Palmer at the front just feels more free, more dribbles, more shots from anywhere. First 2 minutes I got a nice goal, some small pass then Palmer curled it in. After that I just relaxed.

I won’t lie, I played that game like training. Beginner level so I was just taking it for granted. Slight passes here and there, playing keep-ball, not even trying hard. In my head I was like “there’s no way Ghana can beat me on this level”. And I was right 😂 Ended it 9-0. Palmer scored again, Foden and Saka joined the party. Their defense was just watching. Felt like I was bullying them but what can I do, beginner mode is like that.

So with that 9-0 I cleared my group stage already. No need to play the last match again, I just skipped it. Group L is done. But knockout phase is where the real thing starts. I’m done with this beginner vibes. Next round I’m switching to a tougher level because I want actual competition. If Croatia and Ghana couldn’t test me, let’s see if France or Brazil will.

My England World Cup Run 😂

Bro I picked England for International Cup mode and the game didn’t play at all. Immediately I clicked it, it removed every player that wasn’t English from my squad. All my Mbappe, Vinicius, De Bruyne... gone. Then it loaned me England players so I could even fill my team. So my starting 11 became Palmer, Foden, Bellingham, Saka... full Three Lions only. No Chelsea, no Arsenal mix. It felt weird at first but also kind of cool, like I was actually Gareth Southgate.

I’m in Group L and my group is Ghana, Croatia, and one other team. First match was vs Croatia and I just wanted to test things. I set difficulty to Beginner because I didn’t want stress. Big mistake 😂 I ended up winning 13-0. Palmer scored like 4 goals, Saka was dancing on their defenders, Bellingham was everywhere. It didn’t even feel like football again. Their defense was just standing. I kept thinking “this can’t be World Cup sha”. But it was fun to see all those England passes connect since the game forced me to use only them.

But I know Beginner level is just vibes. Once I move to Legendary or World Class, Croatia with Modric and Ghana with Kudus will punish me if I play like that. Still, 13-0 to start the group means my Palmer experiment is working. Now I just have to manage with only England players till the final. No buying, no transfers. If my LB is trash, I’ll suffer with him. That’s the real World Cup feeling.

Bro that Division 9 match vs Manchester United was actually stressful 😂 I play under Borussia Fort Mind and I swear I thought it was gonna be a walkover at first. 15th minute I got one early, just a simple tiki taka around their box and my ST buried it. I was already typing “ez” in my head. But after that goal nothing was working. Their defense just sat back and parked the bus. Every time I tried to force it I lost the ball and had to sprint back. From 15th minute all the way to 45th minute I was just frustrated, missing chances, overplaying. I even thought I’d go to halftime with just 1-0 and they’d equalize. Then right before halftime, 44th minute I think, I slowed down, passed around the edge, one-two with my CAM and boom, second goal. I just dropped the phone and went to grab water before second half even started.

Second half started and I told myself no more rushing. If I keep forcing shots I’ll lose this game. I noticed their backline was slow whenever I switched play quick, so I just committed to tiki taka only. Short passes, no risky through balls, just keep moving them left and right till someone opens up. It was boring but it worked. Like 2 minutes into second half I did the same thing again - 6 passes across their 18, drew their CB out, cutback to my winger and 3-0. At that point I knew the game was done.

Honestly the lesson for me was patience. I kept thinking I needed to score bangers to win Division 9, but Manchester United guy just wanted me to get angry and misplay. Only tiki taka broke him down. 3-0 sounds easy but it didn’t feel easy at all while I was playing. If I didn’t slow down after that first goal I probably would’ve drawn or even lost. Borussia Fort Mind lives to fight another day 😁

I finally jumped on Cur8 and played Blocky Road today. First thing I noticed - it’s basically Steemhop’s cousin. Same vibe. You just keep moving your little character forward and dodge whatever they throw at you. Trains on the railway, cars flying past, then suddenly you’re jumping over water with only a moving stick to ride across. Miss your timing and splash, game over 😂 Took me like 4 tries before I stopped panicking every time water showed up.

The coins are what keep you hooked though. They’re shaped exactly like the Steem logo, so every time I grab one it feels like I’m collecting actual Steem lol. I kept telling myself “just one more run” but then I’d mess up on the train section again. The railway part is the worst - you hear the sound and your fingers just freeze. I died more times there than on the water.

Now I’m actually serious about grinding the leaderboard, especially on Blocky Road. That top spot for the week pays 5 Steem, and I want my name to stay up there for once. Been close before but never committed. This week feels different though. Gonna keep pushing runs after work till I build a legacy there. Even if it kills my thumbs 😕

My first Division 5 game - what a start

Finally got promoted and my first Division 5 match just ended. Was proper nervous tbh, Division 5 players are way more aggressive than Div 6. Started shaky too. 8th minute Gvardiol tried to play it out from the back and mis-hit a pass straight to their striker in my 18 yard box. 1-0 down and I was thinking "great, back to Div 6 we go" 😂 My whole squad looked lost for like 5 mins after that.

Then Batistuta woke up. 23rd minute he got a cross from the right and just smashed it first time - no chance for the keeper. 1-1. Few mins later before halftime, same guy. Corner came in, he out-jumped everyone and header into the bottom corner. 2-1 at half and I was buzzing. He wasn’t even doing much first 20 mins, but once he got one he became unplayable.

Second half was just Batistuta show. 68th minute he picked the ball up near the D, turned their CB, and curled one top bins. Proper FIFA screamer. 3-1 and game over. Hat-trick for Bati in my Div 5 debut, can’t ask for more than that. Still annoyed at Gvardiol for that braindead pass though, man nearly cost me the 3 points. You playing Div 5 yet or still grinding Div 6?

My first eFootball match after the update

Finally jumped into eFootball today after that massive update they dropped. First event match for me - World Cup event, up against Senegal. Reward was supposed to be 50 coins and some blue coins, nothing crazy but I still wanted to win it clean. First half was rubbish though. My players were moving like they forgot how to play. Passing was off, tackles were late, I was just pressing buttons and hoping. Regular level match but it felt like I was playing on Legendary. Went into halftime 3-0 down and I was ready to quit 😂

Second half I told myself to calm down. Stopped forcing passes and started playing simple. That’s when things changed. My midfield started connecting, wingers were beating their fullbacks, and suddenly Senegal couldn’t keep up. Scored one, then another, then another. Before I knew it we were level, then ahead. The game felt smoother after the update too - movement was cleaner, shots felt more responsive.

Full time finished 6-0 to me. Crazy turnaround from 3-0 down. Could’ve been even more too - I hit the crossbar three times. Three! Each one was a perfect shot but the post just said no. Still, 6-0, 50 coins and blue coins secured. First event match after the update and it ended as a comeback. Not bad for a day that started so badly.

Arsenal 0:0 Aston RB - Back After A Long While

I finally played my league game today after a long break. Arsenal vs Aston RB, and they’re sitting 4th in the league so I knew it wouldn’t be easy. Whole match ended 0:0. No goals from both sides. I was rusty at first, but as the game went on I could feel myself getting back into it. The problem was, I created chances but nothing went in.

If I’m being honest, I think I would’ve scored more if I was sharper. My through passes were working well today - about 78% of them were going in. I kept finding space behind their defense and playing balls that should’ve been goals. But my main issue killed me. I play it too directly. I don’t cut inside, I don’t dribble enough to break them down. Soon as I get the ball, I’m looking for the pass instead of taking a man on. Against a team like Aston RB that’s 4th, that’s not enough.

So yeah, it was hard for me to score. I had the vision, the passes were landing, but I lacked that final bit. No dribbling, no cutting in, just straight play. 0:0 feels like two points dropped. I know if I add more dribbling to my game I’ll start converting these chances. Still glad I’m back playing though. Need more matches like this to shake the rust off.

Super League - My Reality Check

I honestly thought Super League on eFootball was all virtual. In my head, I’d just set my squad, choose a coach, pick my tactics, and then sit back while the system runs the match. First half score pops up, halftime comes, then full time result. No control, no pressure. That’s how I played it at first and it felt calm, like managing from the bench.

Then I got matched with Manchester City and everything changed. I’m Arsenal, so it already felt like a derby before kickoff. But this one wasn’t virtual at all. It went physical. I had to play it like a normal match - dribble, pass, shoot, defend, everything. I scored first and got excited, but after that my game just fell apart. My passes kept getting cut off, bad timing every time. I smashed the crossbar more than 4 times because I rushed my shots or didn’t aim right. Every miss annoyed me more.

We ended up 1:1 and I was so frustrated. I should’ve won that game. That match opened my eyes to how Super League really works. Some games are virtual, yeah, but others put you on the pitch and it’s just your skills talking. No system to blame. That draw taught me I need to work on my shooting and passing if I want to compete in the physical ones.
