Chelsea Handler said that the love that comes from friendship is the underlying facet of a happy life.  A healthy friendship can serve an individual with a heavy dose of happiness. Unfortunately, sometimes we find ourselves having the direct opposite in most of our friendships as adults. In this episode, my two guests share a little bit about their experiences with each other throughout the years of knowing each other. Mel and Chris are the few people I admire their relationship and so I didn't hesitate to invite them over as guests for today's episode.

The topic of transition is often related to the passage of life to death. But what many of us aren’t aware of is that, Transition is simply change. The momentum that propels us into a different one whether anticipated or unexpected.

It is said that when one door closes another one opens. This phrase is often used to help our minds ease a little bit as we accept and embrace life changes. Often it is not the closed door we are afraid of, but the uncertainty that comes with “new” things. The in between where we we’ve been and where we are headed to, that hallway that brings massive transformation, Now that is what we all are of afraid sometimes.

This week, life transition is something I began studying. This episode is simply sharing the little things I have come to know about it with you.

 When it came to having one creative person for this conversation, I was certain my friend Eben Ace, a social media content creator, poet, writer and story teller was my right go to person . We both have been pursuing our creativity  for many years and witnessed the evolution of each other’s craft. In this conversation, we both shared our different creative paths. What we do each day to bring out creative contents.

The month of may is a Mental Awareness Month and I am joined by an acquaintance to share his extraordinary journey with Schizophrenia. Our first meeting had us delving into deep conversations for close to three hours! This episode also marks the last episode of our first season of this podcast and this is my way of saying thank you for journeying with me through all the mental and emotional wellbeing stories and narratives we have been privileged to have from all our guests.

There are some stories that almost seem impossible to be true. Why do we feel the need to judge people's experiences as valid and concrete? Is it because we are wired up to accept only one narrative or look at different things through the same lens? I also find myself searching for the answers to this question. In this episode,  I am privileged to be joined by someone I have had a lovely and consistent acquaintance with for over six years to share a complex story of her life in her early twenties. And as we listen and embrace the stories of others with empathy and grace,  we give ourselves the permission to embrace ours too, even the complex ones that almost seem like they never happened. 

As the life gets tough, many are faced with one reality and that is its emptiness and the void. The reality of hopelessness sinks in deep and sometimes one is left with nothing but to reach the deep ends of what emptiness and void they are feeling. People take their own lives not because they fancy the act but because their desperation becomes more heavier than their hope. In this episode, I am joined by a long time friend who attempted suicide some years ago but found him self lucky to be rescued at the right time. He shares his narratives and journey on how he channeled the post suicidal attempt into a path of nurturing his dreams. I hope this story inspires you.
