Stress versus the body. This is episode 3/5 in the Financial Stress Micro-Series. We discuss the three main types of stress, some of the physical tolls stress plays on the body, and a few ideas to take care of ourselves.
Attached to financial stress are a string of emotions and feelings. Some we recognize instantly, but some are underlying. In order to address those, I talk about consumerism and how financial stress attacks Maslow's Psychological Hierarchy of Needs. After breaking that down, I provide a big list of things we can do to address those feelings and emotions and start moving forward.
Financial stress isn't talked about, and it needs to be. This is the first of five episodes in the micro-series, and we talk about what financial stress is, environmental factors that play into it, and the three things you can do today to relieve the weight of it. Financial stress takes time to address, so we'll work through those together. Chelsea has worked in customer financial psychology and behaviors for financial institutions and brings to light some of the dark issues that play into financial stress.
