Experimenting with sounds on the platform is something I’ve done from the beginning of season 1. My latest creation is what I call Afro Trap Soul, inspired by Burna Boy, Bryson Tiller, Dexta Daps but to name a few. I’m speaking a mix of Yoruba (my Nigerian dialect) and English. The topic is simple. It’s a prayer I’m having between God and I to learn from my mistakes, uphold my boundaries and hope for better days to come with the right company (my future wife) by my side at the appointed time. Emphasis on the appointed time! The last three lines of the piece summarise this perfectly in Yoruba; “Would be mine omo (baby).... This love can not be for any person....My World...My Beautiful Wife...Bare my children...The Crown on my head....My best friend”. A new level of vulnerability and growth and I’m happy to share with you. ❤️
