Knowing that pastors need shepherding is one thing. Actually receiving it is another. In this final episode of the series, Richard Bargas gives five practical steps pastors can take to invite encouragement, counsel, and correction into their lives:

1. Stay connected to the spiritual mentors God used to shape you.
2. Keep your daily need for Christ fresh by rehearsing your own salvation testimony.
3. Read and discuss a heart-focused book with a fellow pastor or elder.
4. Build a circle of wise counsel, even if your church doesn't yet have other elders.
5. Rebuild the Christian friendships that ministry may have crowded out.

Drawing on 1 and 2 Timothy, Proverbs, James 5:16, and the friendship of David and Jonathan, this episode is a call for every shepherd to stop leading alone.
