We began in Clouds with the party finding themselves sort of political prisoners of Yurifey. Jasmine was surprised to find Kal accompanying her willing to risk his own safety to guarantee hers. Keeping themselves busy for a week we came to the first day of the auction. They picked up a bag of holding, a handy haversack, and a unicorn. Before the storm sphere the party put forward could be sold one of the bidders pulled a sphere of their own cracking it open and calling forth a large piece of the hurricane it was stolen from. After some work and teleportation they found themselves back in Clouds and collected what was left of their items.

On this episode of Dungeons and Dragons with Adventure Corp:

We began with a meeting between Jade and Garmad the god of Trickery. He drove her to answer questions about the nature of lies and worship in a conversation equal parts a warning and an inquiry. To the parties surprise she returned quickly and they set off on their hired boat. They came across some bandits waylaying some less fortunate travelers and invited them onto their boat helping them keep their most important belongings. Returning to clouds they learned that a ship from Cylph'e's homeland was in port and after returning to collect their belongings from the bar they found themselves pursued by a royal guard and eventually Cylph'e's uncle. After meeting her mother they went to meet Blackfeather who was immediately turned to stone for the crime of claiming Cylph'e with the necklace he gave her. Hosting the party without him. After a tense evening with a near death experience for one of the guests Jasmine even managing to get permission to spend the night away. Cylph'e led her mother and uncle to meet Yorik to put on a show that ultimately failed to fool them into thinking she was powerful enough to be out on her own.

The party was approached by the Blood Refinement Sect seeking information on their elder who entered the Tower of Iszer when it opened 60 years prior and never returned. Awaiting the towers opening Jasmine spent her time making friends among the gathered schools and clans one of these connections ultimately helping them enter the tower. Within they found the resistance faced by the other entrants unable to affect them and sped through several of the tower’s trials. Eventually their way was blocked, and they found themselves within the room of Kafta the towers spirit. They assisted it by rescuing a strange nothic and allowing it to crush the fire spirits that had made their home within the tunnels below. Kafta promised to help them awaken some of their equipment if they would help it with a much more dangerous problem. Eliminating the Blood Refinement elder locked in a still combat of wills with the tower itself. Weakened by the long struggle they managed to kill the elder and escape the tower and thieving eyes outside of it coveting their new treasures. Making camp in a secluded spot by the river they were ambushed, and Jade was taken by a secretive cultist.

as his central building collapsed onto one of its corners throwing the compound into disarray. The stones of sin having been reformed cracking his basement further destroying Blackfeather’s chance of avoiding the fate this demonic deal has promised him. Cylph’e convinced the spectator that Cyrus had freed to hide out at the quarry. After comforting Blackfeather 62 followed Lance to breakfast with Cyrus warning him that she had been instructed to kill him and that he had a day to begin running. She suggested he get far away for a month and then return to live a quiet life of anonymity. Shortly after the party booked passage to Serna and the to the Clefts of Iszer where a towering monolith is set to open in a week. They met some early bird who had been camping out the location for a while and managed to bump into some umber hulks skulking nearby. We ended with them meeting the rest of these new friends just as the blood refinement sect arrived on the back of a hulking dead Roc.

While resting at the inn a figure familiar to Jasmine walked in, before she had a chance to place him she was already under attack being knocked unconscious before she could flee. Cyrus worked hard to keep her out of this strange knight’s grasp until Cylph’e managed turn him to stone for a time allowing the party to flee. They took refuge with the Trill clan who helped them kill the figure when he confronted them again. During this encounter they learned the undead figure was a man from Jasmine’s past and that her parents had apparently released rewards in her home country for any help rescuing her. Blackfeather for his part gave Cylph’e a gift that showed his claim on her prompting Cyrus to break into his compound destroying three of the stones in his basement before escaping in disguise.

Slaad. They pushed on finding themselves up against another blue slaad, a grey

slaad and an adolescent green slaad. The party fought a retreating battle

eventually deciding to go in for the kill when the tide turned in their favor.

After a near miss and a rest they found a stone tablet denoting the presence of

the Mantis a figure shrouded in mystery and death. Deciding to play it safe

they returned to Clouds to report their results and collect their payment. They

spent the rest of the evening wandering the casino, meeting a bonafide pirate,

and visiting the martial path with Blackfeather. We ended with everyone finding

their scattered and for some drunken rest.

After resting among the marauders, the party made their way almost to the Quarry were their mission to clear out the slaad awaited. Practically at the door Jasmine seemed to lose heart after a tough conversation the prior night. The group decided to return to town, and we spent the day with Jasmine going out on a date with Rick from the Golden Fan Syndicate and Cylph’e spending an evening with the ominous Lord Blackfeather. She learned that he has made a deal with a demon that collects his sins on heavy stones preventing anyone from caring about them. Reconvening they travelled to the Quarry and began battling through the slaad, managing to slay a number of them including cutting through the tough blubber of a blue slaad.

The party were led the across border through a secret tunnel belonging to the golden fan. They were invited to meet with 62’s leader who would want to thank them for their help. Their last night out in the wilderness was a tense evening as a grey slaad hovered around their camp throughout the night, stalking off as the sun came up. Cyrus went to visit Aidelia his sick wife who was frightened and bedridden among the nuns he left her with babbling about someone coming for her. The party went to see 62 and discovered as Cylph’e had feared the leader of the golden fans is Ceretus Blackfeather. He proved friendly and offered to protect them from bounty hunters, even the one offering the bounty. The girls agreed to spend a few days a week there so he knows they are safe before Cyrus took them to a private room to reveal that Aidelia is his sister who was taken as a wife by Blackfeather who tortured her. He was incredulous as the party seemed to emphasize with him but were entirely unconcerned that Blackfeather had committed these crimes. Cyrus managed to get them a job from the Trill that would pay handsomely to take a second attempt at the Quarry. In order to get an estimation of their abilities against the Slaad they challenged Yorik the Red managing to bloody him before he pummelled them into the ground giving them a passing grade to fight even groups of Slaad, warning them against fighting too many at once. We ended with them exhausted resting among the bandits.

During the evening watch with the Golden Fan Syndicate Cyrus managed to send two of them off towards the border using suggestion, a fact that was noticed by 62 as she used the same on Lance. Thankfully this was noticed in time and with much convincing he was coaxed back, and the charm was eventually dispelled. When the party came across their first small wreck the fans sent 3 while the party sent Lance and Cylph’e who decided they would fight first and loot after instead of risking being betrayed trying to co-operate. The fans won narrowly. Later that they came across the wreck of the Osprey which had indeed wrecked to the south. They quickly engage the pirates already picking it over, but things became complicated as a roving patrol from Ebgarzan lead by a royal guard arrived from the road. We ended with them escaping by dingy laden with loot and splitting their spoils.

The party made their way into the wetlands along the border quickly bumping into a terrifying hydra. Almost immediately they noticed that this was in fact three pixies cloaked in illusion. They learned that flutter and her sisters had lost their home a dead tree with the blood of the land that they had inadvertently turned into a gateway to the plane of shadows instead of the feywild. They put the party under a binding quest to destroy the gateway, drive off the dark ones, and rescue their captive sister. There they found a boundary of bone growing from the tree through which a massive scarecrow blotted out the dark skies demanding offerings to widen the portal. They fought the dark ones and for a brief terrifying moment the arm of the Mouldering one himself. The boundary was burned away, and she dark ones scattered to shadow leaving only the 2 rescued houses of the pixies and the bones of their sister the dark ones had consumed. After comforting the mourning pixies unused to death, they were showed a quiet covered stream that carried them into Ebgarzan. Traveling the coast Cylph’e has come to believe that her uncle’s deadline was a bluff and the party eventually caught up to a band of criminals from Yang, a group from the mythical golden fan. Spotted by their leader while trying to tail them they agreed to travel with them and compete fairly with them should they find the osprey. We ended with them sharing a mistrustful watch with members of the fan.
