Six years after they released their last games they developed, Francisco Gonzalez and Dave Gilbert released their new games just weeks apart from each other. Since they are both behemoths of the adventure game industry, Seoirse, Matt and Johnny got together to discuss their games in the detail which they deserve. First up they discuss Rosewater, the new Western adventure game from Francisco Gonzalez set in the same world as his previous game Lamplight City. Afterwards they review Old Skies, a time travel thriller from Dave Gilbert. Did these games meet expectations? Find out by clicking Play!

The Golden Idol games have had such a profound impact on the adventure game genre that they have helped create their own sub-genre of deduction games. So it was with great pleasure that Seoirse spoke with Will aka Kini Games, who recently joined the team to make the second in the series, The Rise of the Golden Idol. Will spoke about how he was hired and the development process of that game as well as his other game he had started making, Signal & Echo. Also joining us was Matt ,a talented pixel artist who spoke about his involvement with games such as The Drifter and Theropods. And of course they both spoke about their upcoming game which they are both working together on, City of Voices. This game is an Idol inspired deduction game with a twist and they both spoke about the game as best they could without giving spoilers! All that and much more!

Broken Spectre was the first VR game Seoirse played on his Meta Quest and it remains one of his favourite games of the last few years. So the developer, Evan Jones, very kindly accepted Seoirse’s invitation to come on the podcast to talk all about the game, including the influences, how one of the creators of The Blair Witch Project got involved and who the incredible voice actors are who brought this game to life. All that and much more!

Playing adventure games has traditionally been a solitary experience. But more recently there have been more co-op games released and Sixth Force is one such game. Seoirse had the chance to play this co-op action adventure game at Reboot last year and loved it so much he invited the developers onto the podcast. They spoke about how they started the game, how they wanted to focus on the relationship between the father and the son in the game, difficulty levels in the game and so much more. Please enjoy.

Rosewater is one of the most anticipated adventure games of 2025 so we were honoured when the developer, Francisco Gonzalez, agreed to join Seoirse to exclusively reveal the release date trailer for the game back in January. After the trailer Francisco also answered questions from viewers who joined the live chat and spoke more about development of the game and how this game is his most ambitious yet!

The podcast for gamers and developers alike!
You can find the all the latest interviews, news and reviews here.
In every two episodes we have interviews with adventure game developers as we get to know the people who make these games. We find out what they’re favourite games are, what inspired them to make adventure games and then we go behind the scenes on how they make their games, what advice they give anyone who wants to create their own adventure game and why we should buy their games.
In every other two episodes podcast creator and adventure game player of more than 20 years, Seoirse Dunbar is joined by fellow adventure gamers and reviewers Tomas Becks writer on The Gaming Outsider and Laura Cress writer on the most popular adventure games website, adventuregamers.com, as they discuss the latest adventure game news, announcements, and they review the latest adventure games released.
