Jacqui shares her journey with her son Ethan, who is now 18. We talk about the early days after Ethan’s diagnosis 16 years ago and how different things were back then. Jacqui was determined in her pursuit to help her son and find others dealing with similar issues along the way. She managed to do just that and formed ACES for Autism- a local group that is doing amazing things for autism in their community. Jacqui also recently published her book “Adventures with Big E: Help with Hygiene” which is a collection of social stories about all things related to hygiene! October 23, 2019Episode 60- Life Updates: Dealing with regression, making self care a priority & Logan’s AAC!In today’s episode I’m flying solo and keeping it very real about what we’ve had going on lately. First, I’m discussing Logan’s recent regression with potty training. I’m not gonna lie, it’s been tough! But we are doing everything we can to get through this phase and I’m sharing all of it. Next I’m talking about how important self care is and how I’m really making an effort to put it into practice for myself. I share all the little things I’m doing to help myself feel better in a manageable way. Still a work in progress but improving! Lastly I’m giving all the details on Logan’s new speech device (AAC)! It’s been home with us for about two weeks now and we are learning A LOT about everything that goes into it. I’ve gotten a lot of questions about his device so hopefully this answers most of them.
