This weeks portion discussion: Kedoshim - Lev 19:1–20:27; Amos 9:7–15; Mk 12:28–34
Next weeks portion: Emor - Lev 21:1–24:23; Eze 44:15–31;
Mt 26:59–66
Be holy because YHWH is holy. That's a tall order. The common law of Lev 18-20 bears a striking resemblance to the ten commandments, and yet He holds both the Jew and gentile alike in account of this. What does it mean to be holy? Keeping God's statutes and rules. Lev 20:22 and 1Thess 4:7-8. (7 For God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness. 8 Therefore whoever disregards this, disregards not man but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.)
Kevin Ivey and Thomas Beaver come together to discuss and discover God's weekly devotional known as Torah Portions. The question on the table is always a very simple one, with often times deep and profound impact: "What Is It?" This we can tell you will be fresh and new every week. We call it, Adventures in Torah!
The purpose is to get the people of the church interacting with each other and with us as to answer the question, what is it to you...this week?
We would encourage people to interact with one another on this channel by leaving your comments regarding each portion discussed and if you'd like, please subscribe.
Thank you for sharing this with your friends and other believers; start talking about the Bible.
