For us in the western world, we may have a passing familiarity with what is called the Shmita cycle in which the land rested 1 year out of seven. Or the year of Jubilee cycle that occurs once every fifty years. But the implication of the sabbatical year and the Jubilee year have far reaching implication on our redemption and the vengeance of God on the unrighteous. It dramatically effects our reading of the book of Revelation. The tentacles of these two observances are far reaching indeed.
Kevin Ivey and Thomas Beaver come together to discuss and discover God's weekly devotional known as Torah Portions. The question on the table is always a very simple one, with often times deep and profound impact: "What Is It?" This we can tell you will be fresh and new every week. We call it, Adventures in Torah!
The purpose is to get the people of the church interacting with each other and with us as to answer the question, what is it to you...this week?
We would encourage people to interact with one another on this channel by leaving your comments regarding each portion discussed and if you'd like, please subscribe.
Thank you for sharing this with your friends and other believers; start talking about the Bible.
