Hey folks!

As you can probably tell by the tone in this episode, I have a lot of feelings about what we’re discussing. A lot of things have happened to me, some of these things have happened to my other friends, and some just to my and regular ordinary people. 

There’s a reason God gave us two ears and one mouth. Two ears to listen… one mouth to talk.  Therefore, you should be double the amount of time listening than you do speaking.

Hey folks!

Welcome back to Advice #4 The Living… (from someone who only kind of is).  It is truly an honour and a blessing to have every single  one of you here today, tuning into this podcast. Every single time I get a notification that my podcast has been downloaded, saved, shared, favored, I received a message, etc. I am so filled with joy each and every time that it literally makes my day in that moment no matter how hard my day has been so far. I couldn’t have done it without you all so thank you for that.

Today’s episode is one that unfortunately I’ve heard more and more situations like this popping up and it’s absolutely heartbreaking. I grew up learning the value of a dollar and knowing how hard you have to work for each and every penny that you earn. It’s devastating to think that someone would take advantage of your hard work to satisfy themselves with no intention of truly being a part of your life other than for you to be their personal ATM.  That being said, I wish you all the best.

It’s a bit of a different episode for me this time, because I had no prompt to give advice about, only something that’s been on my mind that I felt so many people could benefit from hearing.

While I do include a lot of personal issues, the biggest takeaway is about how to ask for help.  How to build up the courage and acceptance to admit that you can’t do something on your own.  It was very real, very raw, and I hope it resonates with you all in at least some capacity.

Why? Because I’m a human being who cares about others not just in my own “inner private circle” or in my own “community”, but on a human level.  It’s important to stand up and bring attention to these types of things, and nobody (not even my worst enemy) deserves to be treated in the ways this story unfolded.
