Three west valley school districts have joined forces to ensure staff, students and families are well-educated on safety during the school year.
Agua Fria High School District, Avondale Elementary School District and Litchfield Elementary School District have started a West Valley Safety Coalition which will help educate staff, students and community members on protocols, practices, drills and information to help during a crisis situation.
Collaborating in this initiative are cities’ fire and police departments, superintendents, administrators, educators, safety training professionals and other neighboring school districts with a mission to ensure the entire community around a school is informed on procedures and can collaborate with stakeholders to prepare for unprecedented events.
