Aesthetically Pleasing Podcast

Ultimately, it’s about learning how to move with intention, respect, and authenticity in the relationships we choose to keep in our lives.

In this episode, we dive into the reality of growing up in dysfunctional families and the long-lasting impact trauma can have on our lives. Many people carry emotional wounds from childhood that affect how they trust, love, and build relationships as adults. When families lack stability, support, or healthy communication, those patterns often follow us into adulthood.

We talk about recognizing toxic family patterns, setting boundaries, and understanding that healing doesn’t mean pretending the past didn’t happen. It means confronting it, learning from it, and choosing to break generational cycles. Trauma can shape our behaviors and responses, but it doesn’t have to define our future.
