AFL Fantasy with The Traders

The Cats won the 2022 premiership and the Fantasy relevance is few and far between. Who goes first in Fantasy Draft ... Mitch Duncan or Tom Stewart? Who fills the shoes of Joel Selwood? Roy suggests Jhye Clark could be the winner.

Last year's Grand Finalists have a point to prove in 2023. Calvin thinks Chad Warner could take his game to the next level. It's a bunch of cash cows who could be the most important Swans with pre-season favourite Will Gould leading the charge.

After not having a player average more than 100 last season, will Tom Mitchell get back to his piggy best? It's fair the say Roy, Calvin and Warnie are all in. Darcy Cameron is a big talking point of the pre-season as to whether the RUC/FWD will be a viable pick. Nick Daicos could be knocking on the door as a top six defender and is Collingwood's most popular player.

The inclusion of Josh Dunkley is huge for the Lions and Fantasy coaches. It most likely pushed Hugh McCluggage to the wing and keeps Jarryd Lyons on the outer. Will Ashcroft looks a lock as does finals bolter Darcy Wilmot. Roy leaves Dayne Zorko fans excited after a squirt from sauces on his pre-season.

The big talking point is how Brodie Grundy and Max Gawn will work together ... and what it means for their Fantasy scoring. Calvin thinks they could be first round picks in Draft! Angus Brayshaw looks to be a popular DEF selection. The boys debate whether you take him or not in initial Classic squads. Predictions for the big midfielders in Clayton Oliver and Christian Petracca are put out there.

Andrew Brayshaw finished last season with the most points. Will he back it up in 2023? The midfied mix is interesting with the inclusion of Draft sleeper Jaeger O'Meara. Where should we take Nat Fyfe in Draft? Are there any cash cows?

The inclusion of Tim Taranto and Jacob Hopper are big talking points, but more so Calvin's worry about the lack of Fantasy tons delivered at the Tigers over the last five years. Maybe there's upside in Dustin Martin or we could see Jayden Short head to defence again?

The Dogs have the most top end talent with six players averaging more than 100 Fantasy points per game last year. Warnie sells Jack Macrae as a starter while Bailey Smith and Marcus Bontempelli are also options in the midfield. Toby McLean is the must-have from the kennell thanks to his discount and ton in the elimination final. Oh, and who can forget about the No. 1 ruck int he game for 2023, Tim English. Plenty of relevance.

It's Roy's turn to talk about the club he loves. The pre-season surgery for Sam Walsh is a big talking point as Adam Cerra could be a beneficiary, considering how under-priced he appears to be. Lock in Sam Docherty as your D1. What else is there to say?

Ross Lyon is back on board with the Saints and there are a few questions about how they'll line up. There is no bigger question than whether Rowan Marshall will be the solo ruck. If he is, then lock-and-load. If he isn't, then stay away. Warnie is laughed at for suggesting Brad Hill. According to Roy, both Jack Steele and Jack Sinclair will be members of the Rollin' 22.
