We continue our month of films by female directors, in honor of Women's History Month, by covering one of the most misogynistic films ever made. American Psycho was based on a novel by openly gay Bret Easton Ellis and directed by Mary Harron, so it shouldn't feel like the homophobic, women murdering film that it is. But that's apart of it's charm. The film was divisive in 2000 and held in much higher regard now. This mind bending slasher takes you inside the head of a man who is Wall Street by day, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre by night.
