Donovan O'Neil, state director for Americans for Prosperity-Ohio, begins the show by giving us his post-mortem on the end of the Schumer Shutdown. He says ultimately it was an exercise in futility. He talks about the harm done... did the Democrats gain anything... who he thinks were the rock stars on the Republican side... and what are, or should be, the priorities moving forward, including the need to pass the "Prevent Government Shutdowns" Act.
Donovan O'Neil is state director for Americans for Prosperity-Ohio. He previously worked as the Midwest region strategic director for Americans for Prosperity's Education and Training department, where he works to educate, activate, and mobilize individuals to advance a society of equal rights and mutual benefit. O'Neil has worked in local, state, and federal government. Prior to joining the Stand Together philanthropic community in 2016, he worked for the Ohio Auditor of State, where he promoted local government innovation and managed promotion of cost saving initiatives in state and local government.
