West Virginia State Director Jason Huffman joins the Prosperity Podcast this week to talk about the right-to-work push in his state, where legislators will vote this week on a new right-to-work law this week.
Huffman talks about what it would mean for Mountaineers for West Virginia if it becomes the 26th right-to-work state and how it would create new opportunities at a time when the state’s economy is in desperate need of change.
“This issue, right-to work, polls at nearly 60 percent across the state, and that’s in numerous polls done by various folks,” Huffman said.
“It’s just a very popular issue, and the fact of the matter is, West Virginia tends to have pro-union homes. So that states the point that right to work is not an anti- union measure, whatsoever, in fact it’s for collective prosperity. It’s for everyone to do better.”
