  • OPEC Postpones Meeting Over Nigeria, Angola’s Production Quotas
The Organisation for the Petroleum Exporting Countries has put forward the meeting to finalise output levels for 2024 by four days to Nov. 30 due to struggles over output quotas for African members.
Angola and Nigeria are seeking extra time due to lower targets imposed by more powerful members.
Senior Vice President at Rystad Energy, Jorge Leon says the postponement indicates difficulties within the OPEC+ group to reach an agreement to cut production.
The meeting, which includes major producers Saudi Arabia, Russia and other allies and members of OPEC, is expected to consider further changes to a deal that already limits supply into 2024, according to analysts and OPEC+ sources.

  • Iran Unveils Upgraded Hypersonic Missile
Iran has unveiled an upgraded version of its hypersonic missile in a military exhibition for the country’s supreme leader.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei visited the aerospace division of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Tehran, where a more advanced version of the Fattah hypersonic missile was put on display along with an array of arms, including the Iranian-made Gaza drone.
The Iranian state media says the Fattah II missile is a hypersonic glide vehicle (HGV), a projectile that glides to its target after the initial launch, offering substantially more manoeuvrability compared to a ballistic warhead travelling in a more predictable arc pattern.
