Julie Nagadya was once a sponsored student in Africa Renewal's Next Generation Leadership Program. Today she's the Hospital Administrator at Wentz Medical Center, overseeing a network of six clinics across Uganda that serves more than 50,000 patients a year.
In this episode, Julie walks through the growth of Renewal Healthcare from a single facility in 2005 to a full system reaching remote communities by boat, road, and mobile medical camp. She describes a patient's full journey through the clinic, shares a story of a birth mother's difficult decision and the staff member who adopted her son, and explains how Renewal Healthcare treats patients of every faith without turning anyone away. She closes with a look at the system's expansion plans, aiming to serve up to 150,000 patients a year, and what partners can do to help equip the new hospital block and fund upcoming medical camps.
A conversation about healing, calling, and what it looks like to grow up sponsored by a ministry and come back to lead within it.
