In his book, African Wild Dogs: on the front lines, he describes his work examining the behavior of this species once they leave the relative safety of protected reserves and venture out into human civilization. Brendan compares them to the story of wolves in North America rather than their distant cousins, the often urban savvy coyote. Thanks to some public education and rebranding, the future of the African Wild Dog may not be as bleak as once feared.
