THIS IS QUITE POSSIBLY THE MOST IMPORTANT LECTURE AFRIKAN CENTERED PAN AFRIKANISTS CAN HEAR.

WE ARE DELIBERATELY PLAYING THE SAME LECTURE EVERYDAY LEADING UP TO THE WINTER EQUINOX BECAUSE WHILE WE GET BOMBARDED WITH THE FOOLISHNESS OF caucasoid culture, ideas & reality, WE DO NOT HEAR THIS TYPE OF DISCUSSION, HENCE ITS DIRE NEED FOR REPETITION.

Tonight we will be referencing THE AFRICAN PERSONALITY IN aMERICA-CH. 5- by Dr. Kobi Kambon and POSITIVE AFRIKAN IMAGES FOR CHILDREN by C.I.B.I. as we try to understand where our children should be in their ReAfrikanization process.

Too many times, I hear parents being willy-nilly as to how & when to teach their children their history. THAT CAN NO LONGER HAPPEN esp. as prisioners of war in 'new europe.'

This show, however is NOT only for parents (as even I do not have children yet.) This show is for all Afrikans who want a SYSTEMIZED way of the soclaization our Afrikan reality. Hopefully this show will give folks tools to tweak these 2 models to fit older Afrikans into the mix...those who haven't heard about Afrikan Centered anything, so we have a model to check progression & regression & to fix the latter.

A hodgepodge of topics will be discussed...things that have greatly pleased me & some things that have greatly irked me to no end.

Tonight we will go through a small, yet powerful monograph written in the early '90's (gregorian calendar) THE AFRICA PERSPECTIVE OF HISTORY: AN INTRODUCTION by C.T. Keto, professor at Temple.

His 'centers' analysis hopefully will help our discussion of 1--understanding our Afrikan center & 2--help us understand when folks are trying to give us ANOTHER center, sometimes under the guise of Afrika & other times not.

There are also a few quibble points within the text that we will discuss. However, overall this monograph is an important work & understanding it & USING ITS analysis hopefully will move us forward in making congruent our IDENTITY, CULTURE & CONSCIOUSNESS so we can move in 1 accord towards Abibifahodie--Total Afrikan Liberation.

By not knowing & properly embracing our history, our present is all JACKED UP. By have no or a skewed version of our past, which leads to a stagnant present, the future can ONLY be created by others for us.

While the above paragraph is completely wrong in practice, it is what is happening to the majority of the Sankofaman (Afrikan World Community).

There, have ALWAYS been pockets of people who have questioned the above position. With less material resources, they seemed to have created more than we are now, even in this alleged 'Information Age.' Garvey, the East Organization in New York of the 70's and others are a few examples.

We, here at Afrika's ReAscention, see the major difference, from then to now, is COMMITTMENT.  Those aforementioned pockets had more committment for sovereignty & total Afrikan Liberation than today's pockets of self-avowed 'conscious' Afrikans. While there were plenty conferences, lectures, symposiums, etc early on in stolen Afrikan history in amerikkka, there was a ton more BUILDING of the nation, than is presently going on (even though the TALKING hasn't stopped).

Tonight we hope to address some of these concerns & offer possible solutions.

Tonight we will go over a few new books coming out--some good like DEADLY MONOPOLIES by Dr. Harriet Washington, author of MEDICAL APARTHEID & some total crap-tastic like LIFE UPON THESE SHORES by skippy gates.

We will also discuss some great older books I picked up from Hue-Man Books in NY, like ARMED STRUGGLE IN AFRICA, AN AFROCENTRIC PERSPECTIVE ON HISTORY & others.

 

We are attempting to add to your own personal knowledge base, because with better information--we hope--will lead to better choices for the Afrikan populace.

At long last, we have a major announcement to make about the lauch of a new website.

Afterwards, we shall dig into this Liberation movement that many say they are a part of, but whose actions show they are actually 'fighting' for the other side.

While many are shouting for things to be done differently for different outcomes, there are others who want us to continue doing the same old things but are expecting, magically, different outcomes to happen.

Hopefully after tonight, that flawed 'logic' will be ripped to shreds, once & for all so REAL movement can occur.

The masterwork The Sankofa Movement, ReAfrikanization & The Reality of War, by the Akoto family, put together a list of over 100 key & crtitical items based on copious research, experiential knowledge, travels back & forth to traditional areas in the Continent and LIVING these items.

We here, have labelled it STANDARDS to BEING Afrikan. They label it Nyame Nyhe Hyee (en-yah-me  en-shay-shay), or Nyame's Order. While they admit it is NOT to be seen as an exhaustive list, we @ Afrika's ReAscention would like to note that it is the most detailed & throuough gathering of those aspects of our culture that have stood the test of time & that must be duplicated today to move us forward toward eventual victory. There are also forward-thinking items in this great list as well

For everyone who asks, 'What does being Afrikan mean today?' get them listening to this show & to get the book.

After this show(s), no longer will some be able to willy-nilly attach 'Afrikan' to any old thing. No longer will we get away with behaving any old way & calling it 'Afrikan.'; we now have SOME standards to judge by, just as any and every culture has, actually.
