Our regular listeners know that I WAS ALLOWED TO finally present at this MAGNIFICENT conference. Usually, immediately after it is over on sunday, they have all of the workshops recorded available for purchase. For some reason, that didn't happen this year & as of this typing, I still do not have the workshops. I wanted to air my presentation...unfortunately that may have to wait.

Nevertheless, I shall share my feelings on not only my part w/in this MAGNIFICENT conference, but also share WHY YOU MUST COME TO NEXT YEAR'S SANKOFA CONFERENCE if you are SERIOUS about Afrika's global uplift & LONG LASTING future, as well as other points.

So as many of our regular listeners know, I was given the opportunity to present at this years ASCAC (Association for the Study of Classical Afrikan Civilizations) Conference. My talk was entitled SPIRITUAL WARFARE: RECLAIMING OUR ORIGINAL, AUTHENTIC AFRIKAN SPIRITUALITY BY DETACHING THE AFRIKAN SOUL FROM CHRISTIANITY.

Due to time constraints I was not able to deliver the entire 21 page presentation therefore it was HEAVILY truncated. Tonight, I will give the entire talk. Shortly thereafter, I will take this talk and fuse it with the powerpoint presentation I had & place it on our youtube page, so everyone will have the whole thing & have a nice warehouse of REFERENCED, RESEARCHED information for you, dear listeners, to be able to, as Boukman of the Haitian Revolution told the people of Haiti before they defeated the french, THROW AWAY THE IMAGE OF THE WHITE MAN'S GOD.

I will also share my reflections on the conference as a whole.

Tonight we will discuss a chapter out of a MAGNIFICENT, rarely heard of book that came out in the mid-90's, called REALITY REVOLUTION: RETURN TO THE WAY by Baba Kofi Addae.

Chapter 6 is entitled LET US MOVE ON where he introduces 2 concepts that we, today, are sorely in need of: Nkoso (short term planning) & Daakye abra bo (long term planning). Far from being a theoretical-only work, Baba Addae takes these Afrikan concepts & utilizes them for tangible, practical & visionary means. The vision he leaves us with at the end of the chapter MUST BE ACTUALIZED if we want our future generations to look upon us with reverence.

If we can get an idea of WHAT WE WANT OUR FUTURE TO LOOK LIKE, WE WILL THEN HAVE A BETTER IDEA OF HOW TO GET THERE, now since it has been taken from the purely ethereal and has been given some sense of ideational visibility.

Tonight, we will give an overview of Dr. Mama Marimba Ani's penultimate chapter in her MASTERWORK Yurugu entitled UNIVERSALISM-The Syntax of Cultural Imperialism.

Universalism trips up even the best of us...it disarms us & makes us think it is a highly respected subject, when in actuality it moves us further away from our Afrikaness.

At the request of a regular listener, tonight we shall talk about the cnn show WHO IS BLACK IN AMERIKKKA, the cnn show started by mixed sista soledad o'brien.

We will place this show w/in its more proper AFRIKAN  cultural context.

Hopefully we will have YOU, THE LISTENER, call in and share your 'colorism' experiences & how you prevailed triumphantly over them, which is probably 1 reason why you are listening to my show in the 1st place...YOU KNOW YOU ARE AN AFRIKAN/BLACK PERSON, no question.

While this is a sensitive subject, hopefully we will come out of it clearer & stronger as AFRIKAN/BLACK people because of it!

A multi-pronged, no holds barred approach to why foreign religious systems are not for Afrikan people, why they have not worked for Afrikan people, why they will not work for Afrikan people and how to reawaken our Afrikan understandings and relationships with the Unseen Forces of the Universe will be discussed tonight.

Culturally structured thought.....that is the definition of UTAMAWAZO, a term coined by Mama Dr. Marimba Ani in her masterwork YURUGU.

This concept still trips up even our best minds as they give lip service to liberation & nation building.

Nakumbuka is a swahili term for 'I REMEMBER.'

Close to 20 years ago, a ceremony was created to remember all those Afrikans who died during the Maafa-proper & during our current Maafa-life experiences.

The 1st hour will be spent going over the history of the ceremony...

the 2nd hour will be an adapted ceremony process.
