Iβm going to share with you the importance of one major thing that you need to understand to become successful. You probably wonβt enjoy it right away, but I promise you will thank me for it later. Itβs all about embracing Delayed Gratification and the benefits that come from the practice. In this episode, we dive into the psychology behind it and my Top 3 reasons why it is important to apply. If you hang with me to the end, as a bonus, I give away how you can start implementing this immediately by listing my top recommendations and actionable steps to START AND STOP.
Delayed Gratification Does NOT mean Delayed Happiness. If you do invest in yourself by taking the time to work on this mindset it will bring you so much happiness. I say this from experience on BOTH sides of the fence. Fighting It THEN Embracing It. Itβs either that OR you become very bitter, miserable, or unable to complete the task from the inner friction that compiles the whole way down... or worse you never start what you are trying to do in the first place
All food, sex, and literally anything will be so much sweeter when finally had after a long break OR if you are striving towards something that requires ongoing commitment (workout, diet, habit changes) reaping the rewards faster is only part of the feel-goods. It's actually proven the chase to our goals is where most of the pleasure is devised. Thatβs why fantasizing about that hot date in advance and planning your outfits for the next vacation gives you such a rush - just think about it.
