Today I talk with Anthony Cristo an old friend, former Navy Corpsman and a Reservist who joined the Navy at 36. At 37 he competed Field Medical Service School and became a Fleet Marine Forces Corpsman assigned to drill with 4th LAR, may former unit. Tony departed service after just four years. After he left service Tony got into grading standardized test and teach and is currently running for Congress in the Texas 34th District.

Today I talk to a retired Marine I briefly served with at 4th LAR. Joe had an interesting to that point but an even more interesting journey afterwords. He was an 0311 Marine Corps Infantry man. When he got out he got interested in dog training, and then into urban farming and now he is a business partner in Maxwells Soaps.

He had a very unique career course, making First Class Petty Officer in just five years, he went on to be one of the few Submariners released from that community and one of the few First Class Petty Officers to be accepted into the Navy Dive School. He has a long story and this is part one.
