We are back for Season Two! This season we will be taking a deep dive off The Midnight’s first full length album, Endless Summer. We start off by hearing from Tim and Tyler about the title track’s beginnings, highlight different portions of the song using stems and discuss the robotic vocal effect. This week we dive into Lost & Found, an original song by Tyler Lyle that was remixed by The Midnight. We had a chance to talk to Tyler about what the song means to him and history of how it went from a solo song to a remix. This song was released between Days of Thunder and Endless Summer when The Midnight was still only a side project. We also had a chance to hear from our friend Benoit from France about what the song means to him.

This week we have something very special for everyone! As we close out the first chapter in The Midnight’s catalog, we thought it would be great to hear from the band directly. Tyler Lyle was kind enough to give us his thoughts on writing the lyrics for Los Angeles and discusses uncredited vocals on the song. We take a new approach this episode and break down the individual tracks you hear in the song. These are called “stems” and really let us hear each synth and each instrument in a way that we haven’t done in previous episodes. We also got to hear how this song has been a moment in time for so many people.
