After The Snap Movies & TV

If you're a fan of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, then you've probably heard of the Changelings (also Founders, leaders of the Dominion). These shapeshifting aliens are one of the most fascinating and complex species in the Star Trek universe. For those reasons,  it was so exciting to see them reemerge in season 3 of Star Trek Picard. So, if you're new to the franchise, or just need a refresher on who the Changelings are, then you've come to the right place. "Sixty years ago, Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his iconic 'I Have a Dream' speech, in which he envisioned a world free from racism and discrimination. Today, we're going to explore how the beloved science fiction franchise Star Trek, created by Gene Roddenberry, has helped to bring that dream to life. From its inception, Star Trek has been a pioneer in promoting diversity and inclusion on TV and in popular culture. Join us as we take a look at how Roddenberry’s dream and the show's optimistic vision of the future align with the teachings of Martin Luther King Jr. and how it continues to inspire change in the present day.  "Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plain of dignity and discipline.” -I Have a Dream (8/28/63)

Kanye West.

He went from "Yeezus" to "Hitler" in less than a decade. Let's recap a wild week in his orbit that took us from Mar-a-Lago to InfoWars, with a final stop in Twitter Hell. It's not a good time to be Kanye adjacent, either, with Balenciaga, Adidas, and Antonio Brown, all finding themselves in hot water as well. It’s like the last third of 2022 just threw all the previous season's villains in the story and created this absolutely batshit final month.

Waxing poetic about the MCU? I could do this all day!

James Gunn's penultimate MCU project, The Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas Special, has aired on Disney+ and officially ended Phase 4. This phase began with WandaVision in 2021, bringing the dawn of this new era of interconnected series into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.     We learned the theme of the next block of storytelling - The Multiverse Saga. We even know where we'll end up when this chapter ends: two monster films - The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars.    Now that Phase 4 has concluded, we can sit back and collect our thoughts about all the content that pretty effectively kept us talking and entertained throughout the pandemic.     There seems to be a recurring thought amongst much of the fandom:    What the f_  just happened?   Join this channel to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_opPyZxBc-cCHDU_Dkzr0A/join Thanks for watching!
