Welcome to Special Topics! This series is a chance for me to delve deeper into different church historical, doctrinal, or philosophical questions more than I can in the main series.

In today's pilot episode, Luke is joined by Avi to discuss gender roles within the church. Avi talks about the LDS faith in the context of the feminist movement, and the two talk about the implications in church belief and culture, as well as the path forward.

In this episode, Luke continues the story of his faith journey by sharing what happened after making his big sacrifice. He outlines the doubts that came back, how he tried to fall back on logic and evidence to develop his testimony, and what he learned from trying to prove God through reason rather than spiritual experiences.

In this episode, Luke recounts his early struggles coming to understand what it means to live the law of sacrifice. He explains his disconnect between knowing it and living it, and outlines key moments that have helped him along his journey. He also shares recent experiences that have helped him as he continues to explore what it means to live this covenant law, and the blessings from doing so.

In this episode, Luke outlines some of his struggles that he endured while in the MTC, from a lack of desire and purpose to a feeling that he didn't belong. He also shares a story of what helped him to find moments of light in the midst of all the confusion.

In this episode, Luke takes a look back on his mission experience with Bible Bashing. He recounts some of his thoughts and feelings on it as well as a friend he taught that made him completely rethink his approach to reaching Christians through the Bible.

In this episode, Luke shares his thoughts on the importance of gaining knowledge during our life on earth. He talks about different types of learning, and how opposition is necessary for true, experiential learning, and how this life is set up for us to prepare ourselves to learn what we need to be prepared to inherit all that God has.

Luke goes back to the beginning of his mission to illustrate this, talking about the struggles he endured as a result of his lack of preparation and prioritizing God. He also shares the way that his struggle prepared him to be taught the lesson that God needed him to learn, and finally, the depth of joy that came from repenting and putting God first after the opposition he faced in the beginning.
