Five years ago, I got a woman pregnant and left to find work so I could support her and our child. Later, she moved out of the house I rented and disappeared. I eventually found her, only to learn another man was supporting her. After confronting the man’s wife, she vanished again. In one call, she said I only cared because of the child, then threatened the child’s life, saying if she died, everything would end. It’s been three years since I last heard from her or our child.
