Alvin and German conduct a great conversation with Retired Educator, Ed Morris.’69. Ed devoted 44 years to the field of education. As a former Mathematics Instructor at Highline College, Ed had a profound impact on countless students, nurturing their critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and solidifying their understanding of mathematics. His influence extended beyond the classroom, as he eventually became a mentor to fellow educators, sharing his teaching strategies to better meet student needs. Ed later pursued advanced studies in Mathematics at the University of Washington. During his time at Colgate, he was a member of the track and field team and graduated with a degree in Mathematics.

Alvin and German conduct a great conversation with Educator, Max Wynn. ’03.  Originally from Atlanta, Max currently serves as an Academic Integration Specialist at Drew Charter School, one of the top academic institutions in Greater Atlanta. In 2010, Max worked as an assistant football coach at Colgate. His coaching career began at Colgate in 2003, where he was a coach's assistant at Colgate on a team that finished 15-1 and advanced to the Division I-AA championship game. The following year, he served as an assistant coach at Allegheny College before moving on to Westlake High School, where he coached running backs until 2007. As a student-athlete at Colgate, Max was a four-year letter winner and a team captain in his senior season. He earned two-time All-Patriot League honors as a defensive back, with first-team recognition in 2002, and was part of two Patriot League Championship teams in 1999 and 2002. Max holds a bachelor's degree in History from Colgate and a Masters from Mercer University.

Alvin and German conduct a great conversation with Corporate Trainer & Executive Coach, Karl Stewart, ’91. He is the owner of Work Well Groups, LLC, and brings over 20 years of experience in Human Resources. Based in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, he is an ICF ACC credentialed and Certified Positive Intelligence Executive Coach. Karl's mission is to train and coach intersectional leaders to embrace their authentic leadership within organizations, fostering sustainable diversity. Karl's career spans significant roles in large HR teams at Warner Media and Paramount. He later led the People Function in smaller organizations, shaping the total Employee Experience in collaboration with company founders and their direct reports. Karl holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Master’s degree in Theater from Brooklyn College. He earned his undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Colgate University.

Alvin and German conduct a great conversation with Writer and Director, Jacqueline King-Howell, ’97. Jacqueline began her career with roles at VIBE magazine and Radio City Entertainment/MSG before advancing her drama arts education at HB Studio and the Atlantic Theater Company. While pursuing acting, she wrote a script inspired by a personal experience, which became her debut film, Judy's Child. This film was selected for several prestigious festivals and made it to the American Black Film Festival's top 20 list. Her films have garnered numerous accolades, including awards and recognitions as a staff pick, and being a top 4 finalist in renowned festivals such as Raindance NYC, BESLA, Diversity in Cannes, MPAC, and the Martha's Vineyard African American Film Festival. Jacqueline has also produced, directed, and written a documentary for Colgate University titled Men of Mark, and is currently in post-production for her fifth segment with Sesame Street. At Colgate, she was actively involved in various student organizations, including CSA, AASA, and Sojourners. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology and Peace Studies, with a minor in Drama.

Alvin and German conduct a great conversation with E-commerce Consultant, Chibuike (Chiby) Achuko, ’13. Owner of Chib E-commerce Solution, Chiby, is an expert in Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA). As an e-commerce entrepreneur, he excels in sourcing promising products, optimizing listings, and strategizing advertising campaigns. Additionally, he offers training to help sellers maximize their success. He earned his MBA in Business Administration and Management from Wesleyan University after completing his undergraduate studies. Before entering the e-commerce industry, he worked as a Finance Manager with New York Life Insurance Company and as an Insurance Agent with State Farm. While at Colgate, he was a football player and a member of The Swagged Up Squad (SUS), a hip-hop group known for "The Colgate Anthem," a popular song during his time there. Chiby holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology, and Theater.

Alvin and German conduct a great conversation with Author and Entrepreneur, Dan Gasby.’76. Dan began his career at a UHF TV station in Tennessee, where he embarked on a highly successful journey in television sales and production. He created and co-produced "Big Break," a musical variety show hosted by Natalie Cole that served as a forerunner to "American Idol," launching the careers of Eric Benét and R. Kelly. In 1992, Dan produced the first televised Essence Awards. He co-authored "Before I Forget: Love, Hope, Help, and Acceptance in Our Fight Against Alzheimer’s" with his late wife, Barbara “B.” Smith, and Michael Shnayerson. The book details the daily challenges they faced as a couple coping with Alzheimer's. Dan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Religion.

Leading her executive coaching and leadership development consulting practice, Patricia supports individuals and organizations striving for higher levels of effectiveness and reward. She assists businesses in attracting, developing, retaining, and leveraging top talent, and helps individuals achieve distinctive outcomes by enhancing self-awareness, sensitivity to interpersonal dynamics, and effective communication skills. Before founding her practice, Patricia spent over two decades at IBM, where she held numerous domestic and global leadership roles in sales, consulting, and marketing. Her passion for professional development drives her work with students, mid-level managers, CEOs, and even a US Ambassador. Patricia also serves as Managing Director of Executive Programs for Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT), where she notably designed and delivered the stellar Career Advancement Program (CAP). Additionally, Patricia is a member of the National Forest Foundation Board of Directors (NFF) and serves on the board of the Harlem Junior Tennis & Education Program. A Charles P. Dana Fellow and Thomas J. Watson Fellow, she graduated from Colgate University with a degree in Religion.

Alvin and German engage in a captivating conversation with Attorney Winsome Rhudd, class of '88. A self-employed attorney based in Brooklyn, NY, Winsome specializes in Family Law. She graduated from Albany Law School in 1992. As an avid world traveler, she has visited over 100 countries. A dedicated children and family advocate, Winsome pursued further education after seven years of practice, earning a Master's in Early Childhood from Brooklyn College to deepen her understanding of the root causes of her work. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from Colgate University.

With over 15 years of diverse professional experience spanning CPG market research, creative advertising, management consulting, brand management, and direct retail sales, he brings a wealth of expertise to the table. As a seasoned public speaker and strategist, he delves into various topics including commerce and brand awareness, retail go-to-market strategies, DEI commerce transformation, shopper marketing, customer experiences, the consumerization of healthcare, and fostering diverse, inclusive, cross-functional teams. His proficiency extends to global commerce leadership, leveraging first-party retailer data for sales, and providing advisory support for global retail health commerce initiatives. Prior to joining VMLY&R Commerce, he made significant contributions at Kantar Consulting, Proctor & Gamble, and Reckitt Benckiser, where he revolutionized syndicated retail insights, led retail CPG sales teams, and spearheaded management consulting projects for top-tier brands. Notably, during his tenure at Colgate, he excelled as a dual-sport athlete in hockey and football while earning his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology.

Alvin and German conduct a great conversation with Author & Emory University Professor, Dianne M. Stewart. ’90.  Dianne, originally from Kingston, Jamaica, currently holds the prestigious position of Samuel Candler Dobbs Professor of Religion and African American Studies at Emory University. One of her notable achievements includes the inception of the acclaimed course "Black Love." Her academic contributions have garnered recognition through numerous awards and fellowships, including the esteemed Emory College of Arts and Sciences 2021-2022 Chronos Faculty Fellowship. After Colgate, she earned her MDiv from Harvard Divinity School and her PhD in systematic theology from Union Theological Seminary in New York City. Her scholarly pursuits extend beyond borders, encompassing research endeavors in Trinidad, Jamaica, and a multitude of other nations across Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean. She has shared her expertise through lectures and research activities in diverse locales such as the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, Brazil, and many others. During her time at Colgate, she actively engaged in various student organizations, including a DJ on WRCU via NightFlight and Sojourners, while also fulfilling the role of Resident Advisor for two years. She obtained her B.A. degree from Colgate University in English and African American Studies.
