WINNING CAN WEAR YOU OUT TOO
Everybody understands the need to recover after a loss. But what happens when the thing that drains you is the very thing you prayed for?
The contract came through.
The business grew.
The promotion happened.
The event was successful.
The opportunity opened.
The prayer was answered.
You won.
But winning creates its own weight.
In this episode of Afternoon Praise, Demetrius L. Brown explores something leaders, entrepreneurs, builders, and even people of faith can easily overlook: getting the victory and having the capacity to carry the victory are two different things.
Jesus told His disciples in Mark 6:31, “Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while.” They weren't being prepared to quit. They were being prepared to continue.
We'll look at what Scripture, leadership, business growth, and performance research teach us about sustaining success without allowing the success to consume the person carrying it.
One of the biggest questions we'll wrestle with is:
“Once you get the win, do you have the capacity to carry what the win creates?”
Because the system that produced your win is not automatically the system that can sustain what the win created.
We'll also walk through the Business Point Guard Post-Win Audit:
What did the win cost?
What did the win expose?
What did the win create?
What must change before we do it again?
Are we positioned to do another one well?
Winning the possession is not the same as knowing how to manage the game.
Learn how to carry a win.
