Change can be really tough, but the good news is we're changing and growing together!

Ask any parent you know: parenting a toddler is not for the faint of heart. Trying to eat with a toddler? nearly impossible.

But I came across this story from a mom in Fort Worth who shared one waitress's act of kindness that warmed my heart today!

If other people anger you easily, hold on to this verse from the Book of James:

"Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God." - James 1:19

One year ago today, millions of women and children fled as the war in Ukraine began. KCBI listeners provided funds so these refugees could have a place to get out of the cold, sleep, eat and shower.

But due to the generosity of 90.9 KCBI FM listeners, we were able to send $40,000 to Texas Baptist Men to further its ministry to Ukrainian refugees fleeing to the Polish border and I had the chance to witness it first hand! I love my job and I love the KCBI family.

Many time we want to hear from God, but the noise of the world around can feel too loud.

When that happens, turn to him in prayer, ask for a moment of silence, and tell him what's on your heart!

If you're going through a tough time, Jonathan Evans understands. He was injured, cut and traded during his five-year NFL career. He wondered why he was going through all of the pain and suffering, and then a phone call. The Dallas Cowboys wanted him to become the team Chaplain. Now he's able to encourage NFL players to play for a higher purpose... God!
