In this episode I talk about where I have been the last year and where this podcast will be going. I also dive into the announcements of new investments into the agriculture tech industry from corporations like Amazon and Microsoft. With the addition of how great the show Yellowstone is and the potential implications this show could bring to bridging the gap between consumers and producers. 

In this episode I talk about how Canola originated from Rapeseed and the history behind this amazing plant. Recently a movie about the legal battle between a farmer and Monsanto was released in theaters this past week. Centering around the illegal usage of Roundup Ready Canola by Percy. Farmers across the country have been outraged about the inaccuracies that this story presents to consumers. The worst part being making a movie about Canola and having the movie poster picture being a farmer standing in a Corn field. You already know I have some thoughts on this story. 

Matt Trefiak a purebred beef producer, Loran scholar, and university student talks about his journey in Ag and everything there is to know about beef. There is no topic about the cattle industry that is left unturned in this episode. 

On this episode I talk about my favourite memories from Agri-Trade and the saddening news that it has been cancelled this year. I also dive into how farmers around Milk River have dealt with soil erosion through the usage of shrubbery. I also talk about how my farm has dealt with soil erosion by using the power of tile drainage.
