I am sure, many, in the church will deny this even happens, or happened. The church has, indeed, failed to provided generations of Christians the proof they need to defend their faith. If the trend of heart over head is not addressed soon, the church will return to being house to house.

Evangelism without a church to send those who proclaim faith in Christ will allow for a foundation of sand to be built around the cornerstone. The framework of the building that is built on that foundation will be washed away. Philip's efforts in Acts 8 were followed up by Peter and John.
