Against The Odds

In Episode 8 of Against The Odds, Daanish Suhail, the co-founder & CMO at Playo, talks to us about how the right sacrifices go a long way and how one just has to make a decision and figure things out instead of being indecisive. We also go into what it takes to build one of the best apps in India right now, what were the thought processes behind the service, how finding the right team to put your ideas into action is key and irrelevant of what juncture you are at, work-life balance is a must!

Daanish is just a super composed person who knows that he is making sacrifices and putting a few things on hold to ensure that the payoff is well worth it. If you're into Tech or a budding entrepreneur or simply love talking about great ideas then this is definitely the episode for you. So what are you waiting for? Siri Ravikumar, who has experience as an RJ(Radio Jockey), Actor, TV Host, and Singer walks us through her life journey and how the answer to everything is to only look within yourself. We talk about how she went from not having a clear idea of what she wanted to do to trying her hand at the radio industry, which not only opened up multiple doors for her but also was a big confidence and personality booster. We also talk about "Siri" jokes, how you need to be intentional about the choices you make, and how life can be handled by acting on your knowledge rather than simply acquiring it.

This being our first episode where we have a female guest on the show, I could not have asked for a better guest. She is super energetic and her personality was really captivating, to say the least. This is something that I'm sure the viewers and listeners will experience too. So what are you waiting for? Click on the play button or add it to your watch later and view it at your leisure so that you can act on the takeaways a little later in your own lives. Enjoy!

This episode we have Abhilash E.K., the drummer at Best Kept Secret, who walks us through how times are always changing and we have just got to find the right beat in life. We go into how his education in fine arts got him to meet likeminded individuals that kickstarted his music career, how nothing happens overnight, and you have to constantly evolve to ensure that you are still in the game.

This is an episode where music lovers, band enthusiasts, and aspiring musicians have quite a bit to unravel but the message and topics of discussion are applicable to anyone and everyone. Enjoy!

I sit down with Nestin Vas to talk about Freelancing, Purpose in life, how he embraced god, and why there is more to life than just having a career. We talk about how he is able to balance being a freelancer and handle an NGO - Little More Love, create and maintain content for a page on Spiritualism & Christianity - Awe & Wonder, and also how not everything can be planned. On a lighter note, we also talk a little about our PUC days at St. Joseph's.

These different topics that we dive into just reaffirm the idea that one should always have a purpose irrelevant of what form that it takes. Although we go into so many "heavy" topics, we still keep it light or casual and I feel that will definitely help deliver the message that we are hoping to convey. So hit that play button or "Add to Watch Later" button and I assure you that you won't be disappointed. Enjoy!

This episode will give you a gist of what my career & professional life has been like. I go into how I became an entrepreneur, key experiences that stood out, my previous job, and how I got here. Stick around to the last segment of the episode where I mention a few takeaways from my journey that you can look at applying to your life, giving yourself an opportunity to try out things that you have just not gotten around to trying.

I felt that before I bring in guests on the show, I should at least introduce myself to a fair degree and that's basically what this episode is about. Stick around because there are quite a few episodes coming your way and things are about to be taken to a whole new level!

This episode is an introduction to the show along with a segment on why one should be consuming Podcasts and the inherent benefits that it offers, especially considering Indians haven't really moved onto it yet.

I go into what you can expect from this show, why this is not going to be a run-of-the-mill interview format podcast but instead how you will come across insights and conversations with talented individuals, that one can relate to, and how it's certain to add value to your life. And for those who are simply not used to or aware of podcasts, the second segment of this episode is for you.
